In 37 years of international activity, Dr. Rosignoli has worked in 22 countries on 4 continents on the design, design review and optimization, construction and forensic engineering of complex bridges and bridge construction machines.

He has served as technical director, design reviewer, designer, technology consultant, forensic engineer or expert witness on 12 cable-stayed bridges, 5 extradosed bridges, 9 arch bridges, 1 portal bridge, 24 launched bridges, 11 balanced cantilever bridges, 4.9km of bridges cast span-by-span with movable scaffolding systems (MSS), 24.8km of precast spans for high-speed railway projects, and 72.8km of precast segmental bridges. He has also reviewed the design of 2 self-launching gantries, 6 MSS, 2 portal carriers with underbridge, form travelers, and the casting facilities and launch equipment of 23 launched bridges.

International authority on mechanized bridge construction and the incremental launching method, Dr. Rosignoli is the author of 4 books published worldwide – Launched Bridges (1998, ASCE Press), Bridge Launching (2002, Thomas Telford), Bridge Construction Equipment (2013, ICE Publishing’s bestselling title) and Bridge Launching, 2nd edition (2014, ICE Publishing). He has also written 16 eManuals of bridge engineering, 3 book chapters, over 90 publications and presentations, and Chapter 6.37.40 Bridge Erection Machines in the UNESCO Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems.

Founding chair of IABSE working group WG-6 Bridge Construction Equipment for the 2009-2013 term, Dr. Rosignoli holds 32 patents on bridge construction methods and teaches 5 courses of modern bridge design and construction technology for the Continuing Education Program of the American Society of Civil Engineers and on-demand in the offices of bridge owners, designers and constructors.

He leads BridgeTech, a unique portal of knowledge & learning for the bridge community. He also leads the Bridge Club (43.000 new visits in one year) and the BridgeTech World forum in LinkedIn, which enjoys the participation of 8500 members from every corner of the world. A key opinion leader in LinkedIn, Dr. Rosignoli has a following of 24.000 bridge owners, designers and construction professionals.
